Just ordered a Macbook Air with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD. Plan to "install" the included charger and an extension cable I have in my desk in a drawer so I can leave the new laptop in there when I am not using it and charge it up without a bunch of extra wires on my desk. So, I'd need another charger for travel, one that charges the laptop quickly and will plug directly into it without adapters. Oh, and one that will not blow up or brick my new Apple toy. I've watched a number of vids on You Tube and all they did was confuse me. So, I'm looking for recommends on a solid charger that will do the job for me. Any specific ones that should be at the top of my list?

if you're planning on using an external monitor, many come with the ability to charge the MBA using the display connection. if so, keep the apple charger and cable for non-desk use.

Thanks, no...not planning to use an external monitor. I have a 27" iMac on my desk as my "main machine."

I have a couple different Anker ones that have never given me an issue. I have a combo 30w pd + USB, and the nano 18w. Both work just fine.
