The case protects the AirPods, it's designed to take a beating. Your choice of course, but you really don't need to dress it in a silicone piece of tat that will ironically attract the lint and stuff far more than the actual naked case will.

I like these ones as they also keep the lid of the AirPods case locked shut. My cats knocked off my AirPods case and I lost one pod for months as they tossed it around during the night. I have since bought this case and the case cannot open like that anymore, even if they were to knock it off the table.

I just got the AirPods Pro 2nd gen (usb-c version) in an amazon Black Friday deal. What's the best case for these? Preferably sold on amazon.
I’m searching for one also, preferably with support for Apple Watch magnetic charger.
Let me know if you find one.

I'm after a case too, but even though the USB-C APP2's have been out for a couple of months now, there are still very few cases available on Amazon (or elsewhere) for them?!

The type I want is just a simple plain black rubber-type one. Previously I've bought several from brand "AhaStyle" for previous models of AirPods, but annoyingly haven't been able to find their ones for the newer USB-C APP2's:
APP1: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07ZR9G9W8
APP2 Lightning: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BGH96SN7
AP2: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07QH1FQNT

The only one I found which I tried but had to return as it was poorly made and low quality, was this one:

Surely SOMEONE must do plain rubber-type cases for these things??

I think cases for the Lightning version would work with the USB-C version. The port isn't that much bigger. I would try the Lightning case you found, and you can always return it if it doesn't work.

Nope. All the cases have specific issues due to being for Lightning only APP2's.
That's the point, I cannot see any that are simple black rubber-type that work properly with USB-C APP2's.

What the heck are these companies doing, given there are millions of USB-C APP2 owners for them to sell cases to??

EDIT: For example, this one has a Lightning flap, so won't fit a USB-C hole properly:

Well, after another endless search, found this one which got mixed USB-C compatibility reviews which l'm trying:
Arrived today and fits pretty well, so I'd advise it's worth getting. The hole is big enough for most USB-C cable plugs, so shouldn't be a problem fitting most of the time (obvs, you have wireless charging as well, anyway).

The only thing to note, is the small tool to help remove the bottom half has a bit on the end that you can chop-off using a chef knife to make fit perfectly... took me all of around 10 seconds to solve that.

So finally solved the no case issue for me. Hurray. :)

I like TPU cases but I really wish the top half of the cases would stay on the AirPods case! It is very loose since there isn't much surface area :(

Instead of putting your airpods case in your regular pocket, try the little pocket right above the normal sized pocket. Almost all of my pants have this tiny pocket (I always assumed it's for pocket watches?). The airpods fit perfectly in that 5th pocket.
