I'm getting tired of my iPhone 4S and thinking about switching back to Android (I used a Droid Incredible from 2010-2011) if the next iPhone isn't anything great.

What are the best Android devices that will be released between August and December? Will they all ship with Jelly Bean? Any Google-supported Nexus devices coming out?

Thanks!

I would say the next Nexus device and the Galaxy Note 2 are the ones to look forward to. I've got a GS3 and can say I love this phone. I truly don't feel the need to run a custom ROM on this thing. It's amazing.
The Galaxy Note is not everyone's cup of tea, but from the users I know, they swear by it. Most of which had reservations about it's size, but now won't use anything less. It is the overwhelming response I get from these Note users. I'm looking forward to the unveiling of the Note 2 at the end of this month.

Galaxy Note is way too big.

I'm hearing a new Razr Maxx may be released so I may look into that if it has great battery life.

I am on the same boat, about to jump into Android. The new iPhone would need to blow me away to make me change my mind at this point. I am willing to wait until Apple unveils it next month before getting my first Android phone.

I have my eyes set on the Galaxy SIII and the Nexus, but I've heard about the new Nexus being around the corner, so as I wait for the new iPhone and also the black version of the SIII, perhaps some news of the new Nexus will emerge if not then I'll go with the SIII and then change to the new Nexus later on.

The new Razr HD will have a bigger HD screen but not have the Maxx's battery unfortunately.

Currently I'm enjoying my Galaxy S III, HTC One X, and Galaxy Nexus.

I will be taking delivery of the upcoming Nexus sometime in Q4. The final build of Android has not be disclosed yet.

Beyond that, there are several other potential new releases, but just like Apple, the manufacturers of these upcoming Androids are not talking.

One things for certain. Having used Android's since the very beginning I can say that the three current phones I have are all very fast, fun and effective. Smooth reliable and very comfortable due to the spacious displays, they highlight the limitations of the small iPhone display.

However I do respect those who find the 3.5" iPhone screen sufficient.

That's awesome. I didn't hear about the maxx HD.....however its still a rumor (follow your link). I do find it tough to believe that rumors true versus the the one from gsmarea that says it will have a 2500 battery.

Who would buy the standard and not the maxx?

Actually, I'm wrong. The FCC report was released recently and there will only one phone will be released-- Razr HD with a 2500mah battery.

Really, pry best bet is waiting to see what they do with the next Galaxy Nexus. With the rom I'm on though I don't have a problem holding on to my GSII till next year to see what happens. I just love the size at 4.3" an its so fast and smooth, battery life even edges out my iPhone 4.

Note and Nexus will be the only things worth buying. Don't bother waiting for anything else. Everything else is pretty much garbage.

Nexus is I think the best android phone because you're not constrained to waiting for a carrier to get the next version of android, add their stuff to it, test it and finally roll it out 6 to 8 months later.

I am waiting for the iphone 5 before I make a choice between the S3 or the iphone. But what will be the difference with the new nexus and s3?

I'm in the same boat. Really tempted to order the S3 now as I don't think the 5 will have any surprises to entice me but I'll wait and see I guess.

Is it unlikely that the new Nexus will allow removable storage? Being able to put an SD card into the S3 makes it such a cheaper option than buying a 64GB phone for me.

Unless you are a Verizon Nexus owner. :) Who are still waiting for JB....If you are willing to root then you might as well get any Android phone.
