Best antivirus for macOS

Anyone have suggestions? I know most say not to have it, but I need to as I download files a lot

Intego has the least impact on a modern Mac system. I wouldn't get the "top of the line version with all of the extra features", just the "antivirus with the firewall".

Download files from reputable places and you'll be fine.

The previous two posts are the best "antivirus" you can get. Still, If you really want one, keep in mind that all antivirus products more less offer the same protection; therefore, look for ones as light as possible regarding resource use.

And, still, avoid questionable site at any cost!
