I need to sync between 3 network drives containing my music: one on a NAS; and 2 others on USB hard drives. I am constantly adding music to what i think of as my "master" drive (used for Roon) and need to keep the 2 others up to date. I want to be sure that I can keep the "master" drive untouched during the process. I rip CDs to this drive using dbpoweramp. One is my itunes library on the NAS; another a backup HDD.

I've been using Synkron, but it seems out of date; looks lackluster and seems slow to find new changes. Any recommendations? Also, is it possible to sync all 3 drives at once?

MANY THANKS for any suggestions!

You may want to try Chronosync. It has a free trial so you can check it for your situation.
It is a bit steep to set up at first, but afterwards you forget about it.

I totally agree. Chronosync should be the solution for you. At least it is for me and for my photo collection.

I use GoodSync for that task. Works great, and I got it on sale for I believe $9.95 (instead of the advertised price of $49.95).

If you are adventuresome, and comfortable using Terminal, rsync will do what you want and is included free with macOS. You will need to do some reading up to create the configuration file and scripts that do the syncing. ChronoSync if you prefer a UI.

Thanks guys. I tried Chronosync, and like it. I'll also look at sync folders pro.

Chronosync 100%!

As well as the sync tasks you want, you can use it for making bootable backups of your mac - it gives you another safe net beyond Time Machine.

It's a powerful bit of software once you get past the interface's learning curve - every feature has a question mark nearby that will open the help file which typically explains things in everyday language.

I duplicate my Roon music files to 2 NASs using Carbon Copy Cloner. CCC doesn't do automatic sync, but does do scheduled ones. When I add music to my master music library (much less frequently now with Tidal MQA streaming) I just fire off the CCC tasks to update the other locations.

Since I use CCC for my Mac backups as well that way I have just one app for all of my backup tasks.

What does blind backup do? Still unclear. I want to be able to sync using Roon hdd as master and NAS as slave AND delete anything from Roon drive from NAS. I often delete mp3s from Roon and want them deleted from NAS too. Thanks

If you are syncing from your Roon master and delete a file on the master then (depending on the settings) syncing utilities will delete the file from the slaves as well. I assume that Chronosync does that, Carbon Copy Cloner does if it is so configured.

Thanks figured it out. Using the mirror function on chronosync does the track
