I know you can track your iPhone with MobileMe, but it seems a bit costly compared to the alternatives.

Has anyone tried any of the tracking apps (either in Cydia or the Apple store)? Which app is the most popular? Which one's the best?

Thanks.

PS. I have a jailbroken iphone.

The Mobileme 'Find My Phone' feature is part of the OS. When the phone gets a request for it then it runs that part of the software, but not before that request comes in.

For any application to do what Mobileme does, that app would have to be running all the time.

So for legitimate apps, that's impossible. A Jailbroken app could do this, but I'm not sure what a full-time tracking app running would do to your battery. That doesn't seem like a great solution either.
