I'm taking the fam to Disney World next month and I'm getting my tech together. Backup batteries, etc. Wondering which watch band will be the most comfortable in the heat, humidity and torrential rain that hits Florida in September.

Sport loop is the most breathable and will likely be best in the heat. The one thing the sport bands have going for them is that they are extremely easy to clean. If that is a concern, take a Nike band so you will at least get some ventilation from the perforations.

Living in Georgia and going for summer lunchtime runs and walks, I have a wee bit of experience with heat, humidity, sweat, and Apple watch bands. :D

Preference in order: Sports Loop >> Nike Band >> Sports Band

(I have no experience with the solo loop)

Well now it looks like we won’t be going til the spring. Not worth bringing unvaccinated kids into the Covid crock pot. Maybe there will be a complete new band style to consider by then.

Sorry to hear about your trip. When you finally go, the Sports Loop is great. My wrists don't sweat much, so I also like the Sports Band, but I think the Loop is the way to go for most people dealing with all-day wear in hot, sticky, Florida.

that was my thought too. i think i'd wear the nike-style for water rides and the loop for everything else.

we're planning to go now in march, when hopefully our under-12 kids will be vaccinated.

We may be there at the same time! Hoped to do a Disney cruise this year (they are great if you haven’t done one) but we also have un-vaxed under-12 kids.

Well the good news is that when you go you won't have to wear a Magicband also. The watch will be sufficient.

Sport loop hands down is one of the most comfortable bands.

Also your memoji looks like JJ Abrams

I would recommend the briaded solo loop or the new version of Nomad sport band, both are fantastic.

solo loop. While I haven't been to Disney I've been to multiple theme parks this summer with a travel camp and I never had to worry about my solo loop getting wet or fear of loosing my watch.

I'm in south Florida where it's a bit hotter & the sports loop is the comfiest & best during summer (and really any time).

Nike bands are also good. Don't you get splashed on some rides?

Braided loops are nice too, but I don't like em in summer as much. If you're sweating or wet, they're a little thicker & can't be loosened like a sports loop.

doesnt it get too tight in the heat and humidity?
