Id rather a pack then a case, anyone have recommendations? Anyone tried the one on Amazon for $30. I need one that will provide many hours of juice when Im not near a power source.

I have this one. No complaints at all. I can get a few charges out of it before having to recharge the pack.

I have a couple from IOGear. They come with attachements for other devices. I used them when I worked events with my old dumbphone that had horrible battery life. I got about 5 charges to my iPhone last week (iPhone was not fully discharged though) when I was housesitting and had the iPad plugged into the wall. I charged it overnight, but it seemed to go quickly.

I am on IOGears mailing list and picked them both up on sale. Now I'll carry one with me when biking.

I have a Anker 10000 mAh battery pack which is a perfect companion for my iPhone, Galaxy Nexus, and iPad when I travel. It's currently going for $39.99 on Amazon.

My ultimate road warrior setup is a Mophie Juice Pack Air for the iPhone 5 and the Anker external battery pack.

Yea I think I added that to my cart. I added like a few. Since my phone battery is almost dead I cant read about them as Id like. Turns out theres a bunch of them. Now I dont know which to buy. I go by ratings too and I want a battery pack that will last long. Think Ill go through all of them on my comp tomorrow (reviews and such.)

In short though, the higher number the longer battery? I saw some that were like 12000 for about 40.00. I notice some dont charge large ipads fully which is why some got low ratings. In short I want a big bang for no more than $80, but ideally if I can pay $50 or around there that would be great. I dont have electricity where I am currently so reducing the time I need to go.charge up would be ideal.

New Trent has a great variety of quality batteries. I've bought at least 5 different ones from them, all great!

Lol, about five minutes ago I saw that brand as well. Because the brands are so new to me I didnt know what is good or not. Thats why I love macrumors!

I'm using a MyCharge Peak 6000. If you have any AT&T accessory discounts, you can get it for cheaper than Amazon from them.

It has fold out wall prongs, can charge off of USB, and has built in microUSB and 30-Pin cables, as well as a USB power out.

I still need a lightning cable to charge the iPhone5, but it eliminates needing a cable to charge the battery (from either the wall or the a computer) as well as eliminates needing a cable for charging my bluetooth headset or my fiancee's iphone4. The 30pin out is 2.1A and the rest are 1A. It can charge all outputs at once. Oh. And it talks.
