Is their a battery usage pattern for the ipad that will maintain battery life better than others. Apple's website says that you should drain it all the way and then charge it all the way at least once a month for optimum performance. Is that solely for calibration reasons or does that actually extend the life of the battery.
It also claims that it should retain 80% battery life for 1000 full discharge/recharge cycles but full discharge/recharge is not how people typically use the device. How much of a full discharge/recharge cycle do I utilize for example if I plug it into my computer for 10 minutes to sync, or if I only charge it to 50%, use it for an hour or two and then charge it the rest of the way? Does anyone understand what the ramifications of different usage patterns are?
