Hey there. Was trying to use my Apple Magic Mouse on the M1 - but it feels sluggish (for me) compared to my Logitech G502 Hero.

I’m looking for some more ergonomic one. Which do you use and which could you recommend? (I have small hands)

I am not a fan of Bluetooth but my Logitech Mx Master 3 can also connect over the Logitech dongle and it is so much more stable than Bluetooth. So I can recommend it, although it is not cheap.

I am a big fan of Logitech's MX Master series.
At the moment I am using the v3 but I also used the v2 and v1 with much comfort.

i had the mx2 and loved it for my desktop but with limited slots i went BT but dislike all the disconnecting going on right now with the BT on the macbooks...

notice any cut out issues wired?
Do you mean with the dongle or "real wired" because unfortunately even if you connect the mouse with a USBC cable to the Mac it only charges and does not transmit data through cable. But with the dongle it is smooth without cut outs BUT I connected the dongle with a USB extension cord, so it is farther away from the Mac mini and other peripherals (did this before even using the mini. just to be safe). (edit: typo)

I picked up a Logitech MX Ergo renewed from Amazon, it doesn't have all the features of the MX Master, but so far I like it pretty good.

Although I generally prefer to use a TrackPad day-to-day, there are instances when a mouse is just better. The MX Master 3 is a brilliant mouse for the Mac. Though bear in mind, if you go for one, check the prices for the non Mac-specific ones as well as they work exactly the same on the Mac -and it gives you more choice in the colour if that matters to you.

Ditto, for clamshell if I’m not using Magic Trackpad2, I’m using Magic Mouse2. I don’t see reason to stray from devices built by and for the parent device.
Except when functionality that you want doesn’t exist in the first party device, multiple Bluetooth connections with fast switching for example. Logitech has this on their products, and switching between iPad Pro and Mac is just a button press away and really very very good for those that need such functionality.

I can relate with the Bluetooth issues and the MX2 with some laptops, but luckily my own laptop worked fine. Now with my MX3 I do not experience any BT problems with all the laptops I use it with.

I just got the MX Master 2 and although it's a great mouse I find the scroll wheel a little cheap feeling. I'm considering returning for the MX 2. Anyone have experience of the two and if so which do you think the better? Is it worth paying a bit extra for the newer version?

I increased the mouse pointer speed because the standard setting is too sluggish

Maybe that’s or what you mean?
Same for me, i'm used to razer deathadder elite with 1000hz refresh, the magic mouse 2 is slow with 125 hz refresh, feels like using a mouse in the late 90's . Bluetooth is also a nightmare with the M1 Mac mini, cuts in and out all the time.

I found the Apple Mouse 2 very slow and laggy. I increased the speed but still awful to use. I had to swipe the mouse up twice to get from bottom of the screen to the top. The MX Master was instantly better straight out the box. I know some love the Apple Mouse but I thought mine was faulty it was so bad.

What about the MX Master 3 via Bluetooth? Feels sluggish too?

I have a Razer Basilik Hyper X with Bluetooth for me to sluggish and via the USB connector much better.

I wouldn't recommend ANY bluetooth mouse.

I WOULD recommend Logitech mice, connected via the USB "unifying receiver".

You'll need a small USBc-to-USBa dongle to plug the unifying receiver into...
