I've also got a 200 and a 600 patch from state tournaments a few years back and a Dutch 200 patch.
That's why you have to have a 200 average to turn pro. Trivia - 140 is the blind score.State tournaments!!
I think the gap between 170 and 200 is huge. A player who regularly bowls 140 on average can easily get 170, but the game has to go a certain way for you to get over a 200.
Closing frames is good and all, but stringing them together is what really explodes scores. As you probably know, it's possible to put up a 200 game with only 1 strike. I'll take a clean game anyday.Abstract said:My best game (not best score) was when I bowled 8 strikes. Yes, that's 8 strikes in one game, which was quite amazing for me. My score wasn't really on the board yet because I never bowled an 8 or a 9 or something in order for my score to be calculated. Anyway, I only scored around a 170 that game. What happened!!
In the game where I scored 239, I got 5 strikes and just had a lot of spares, and got 239. It was weird, because I had so many strikes that one time, I thought it was going to be an all time high for me.

Do you have a custom equipment, or do you just use the what the house has?
My high is 212 I believe and I have only 2 or 3 career 200 games.
