i posted about this yesterday and didn't get a single response. it really is humorous how the overpriced "pro" is the only thing getting attention here when it literally only exists for people who light money on fire.

I have three Pros (9.7, 10.5, 11) and I don’t think I’ve ever lit even a single dollar on fire.
Picked up an open box 10.5 Pro for 498$ the other day. Got a Zagg rugged messenger keyboard case for it.. the thing is so fast.. Its unreal.
Great deal for a solid iPad.
Minor quibbles due to RAM:
You can use Procreate on it, but expect some freezes, lag times with the pencil.
Safari crashes a lot too.
Outside of those, just fine. I enjoyed the speakers, and did not mind the display. It is a great iPad for people who do not need the Pro.

Jumped on this deal to upgrade my kid from her iPad 2. This along with the Apple Watch series 3 sale is gonna make for a nice Christmas for her.

I got this same combo last weekend. This thing's a beast! What do you think of the Zagg keyboard? The Best Buy guy recommended it over the others available (and it was 50 bucks cheaper than Apple's).

The keyboard has the best keyboard layout I have used on a tablet keyboard and is very functional.. it lights up a few different colors (yellow, aqua blue, blue, green, white, purple, red) you can also change the brightness of the keys.. so far I have not had any problems with the keyboard and I am able to type super fast on it. My only complain would be the added bulk that it comes with (i have the rugged messenger), I know they make slimmer versions but the Rugged really provides all sorts of protection. The only downside is really the added weight. If added weight isn’t a big deal for increased functionality.. I highly reccomend it. I looked at almost every keyboard prior to this one and it had the best reviews and protection. The slimmer version had a lot of negative reviews. I would check Amazon if you are a prime member and take a look at the warehouse deals.. mine came brand new with not a single scratch on it with no box... and I’m not about to pay $50.00 for a box.
Also - the keyboard shortcuts are totally worth it. Once you learn them you really don’t even have to use the screen to operate the iPad that often.
I got an open box Zagg Rugged Mesenger off of Amazon for only 50 bucks. It’ great and totally changes the iPad into a laptop.. more of a dumbed down laptop but it does really give you the speed of a MacBook and functionality of one.
