Silly question perhaps, but was all set today to get the new MBA (loaded) for 1,399 at the Apple store, then discovered Best Buy has a flash sale of $400 off the Touch Bar MBP, honestly, to be the differences seem relatively small. Even the screen brightness I can't tell a huge difference. The thinness and half pound difference is nice with the MBA, Touch Bar is nice with the MBP and the quad processors of course. Any thoughts on this on which was to go?

I debated between a 13” MPB and my 2018 MBA. I was comparing the air with the 2017 MPB. ended up deciding that I wanted the third generation keyboard. Sadly, it sounds like people are still having issues with it, but I was scared to get one of the older keyboards.

Though I would have liked the nicer screen and processor, I decided they weren’t necessary for me.

yeah could see your point but the MBP is a 2018 TB so that is the 3rd gen keyboard I believe?

The MacBook Pro is just a far better machine, but the power consumption will be higher and the machine will run warmer. Otherwise, it's a huge improvement.
