Does anyone know when best buy is suppose to get the new iMac? The only reason I want one from them and not apple is because if the 18 month 0% financing option. One sales associate told me this Friday, but another told me several weeks from now

They are showing up on their website, and they are on sale with their current iMac sale.

Shipping time shows 2-5 days, and as of right now (Thursday), in the Austin, TX area they don't seem to have them in stores, or know when they will.

Just called around some more, it seems they have the base 27" iMac for $1615 and in stock in several locations.

The top stock 27" iMac isn't in stock anywhere near me (Austin, TX), but it is on sale for $1899, and you can order it online.

I've got my name on a base 27" iMac, and look forward to picking it up after work!

BB seldom has the latest and greatest in their stores until weeks after the introduction.

Hmm, well how can my local stores have them if it's only been 2 days since the launch?

Your best bet is to call around and find out for yourself. You might get lucky!

Thanks for the input every one! One of the sales reps just called and I'm going to order it online, high end 27in, should have it in 5 buisness days or less. It's my first Mac and I'm pretty excited to say the least!! :D

Posting this from my new 27" iMac, purchased from Best Buy!

I got the lower base 27" model for $1615 + tax, so I'm pretty happy. The $85 I saved will pay for an extra 8GB of RAM :) Going to have some dev VMs running on this sucker with no problems.

I got mine ordered as well! i went with the high end 27", with the sale going on it cost me $2038 including tax. i read a forum post on macrumors that said that the imacs are having issues with screen yellowing. i'm starting to worry about it a little bit haha

Also posting from my new iMac...

...went with the base 27' for 1615 as well...
they also had some base 21.5's in stock...

Pretty excited that I saved money going to best buy, and i get some reward zone cash back!

So I can def. confirm that Best Buys do have new iMacs in stock!
Get em while their hot!

Yep! Don't rely on the Best Buy web site. I called around and they had the new iMac's in stock and on sale! Just picked mine up.

On sale by how much?

They were on sale for about $100 less than normal. Not much but hey, that's one less payment I have to make

Thanks for the info! I'll be going to pick one up tomorrow if it's in stock! Also, I'm usually the guy who wants the FULLY upgraded system, but I think I'm turning over a new leaf. Hopefully this change goes well... :D

You can also get a discount on a printer with purchase, which moves it closer to what the Apple store can do with an ed discount only with RZ points and financing.

I went ahead and picked up the base 27 model at my local Best Buy. I found that you can copy the SKU of the new iMac, search stores for the old model, then input the SKU the place of the old one to see if there is local inventory.

The 27 was discounted $85, I got an HP 3050 wifi printer for $40 bundled in (like this one better than the Epson offered by Apple), used Reward Zone points, and also financed with the BB card ... seemed like as good of a deal that would be available.

+1 for a 27" i5 at a discount of $85 at my local Best Buy. Seems like they're out there in force, but I bet the sale ends tonight (BB sales typically go from Sun - Sun).
