I just came from two local Best Buys, and they do have the Apple TV in stock, but cannot sell till April 8th, 2007. The first store (Walnut Creek, CA) told me they had 5 in stock, but said they were informed to not sell them till 04/08/07. They then told me to go another stores 20 minutes away, they had 4 in stock and maybe they could sell theirs. I went there, they confirmed they had 4 in stock, but like the other stores inventory system, it said that they could not sell them till 04/08/07. The manager was nice to me and said since I drove around and Walnut Creek gave me the run around, they would sell me one. He confirmed that when they have a date like that in the system, usually they are holding them for a weekly sunday ad and can't sell until the marked date.
So I walked out and got an Apple TV from Best Buy, but just wanted to tell you guys that Best Buy isn't supposed to sell them till next week. Good luck with purchasing from Best Buy.
