Best Buy currently has a trade in option for last gen iPad Pro’s (10.5 and 12.9 ver.) to current new iPad pro’s. It’s kinda vague as far as what your getting says in store only. But, it shows iPad Pro from 399 when you trade in any working iPad Pro. Anyone have any insight to this? Looking for a 12.9 (64gb WiFi) to upgrade from my 10.5.

I've been told by some on MR forums that BB tends to bait you with an unreasonably high trade offer on their website until you get to the store only to be setup for disappointment. Having said that, now that Amazon is an Apple Authorized reseller, they may be willing to take a higher trade in as Amazon's prices tend to beat BB's prices. For example during the run up to Christmas, Amazon was selling the budget iPad's for $229/$329 while BB was selling them for $249/$349.

I say go and see if they'll give you what you're looking for.

I did the trade in on their app and they were giving me 250 for my 10.5 pro 64gb and WiFi.

I got the same $250 for the same model. I ended up giving it to my daughter and bought her the ASK and pencil so she doesn’t have to carry her Air.

I am loving my new in-bent 11” Pro!

Damn you got a bent one too?.? I’m wondering if the 12.9 is more susceptible...

So Apple gives me $325 (10.5 64gb WiFi) toward new iPad Pro. eBay currently are going for 425-480 I’ve seen some with extras though. Minus the eBay, PayPal fees. It doesn’t seem that bad looking at it now, not sure if this is Best Buy’s same deal as of yet.

About three weeks ago, I got a $250 BB gift card for my 32 Gb 1st generation Pro Wifi 12.9. This was just me bringing my old iPad to the store, not part of a new purchase (I got my new Pro 12.9 from Staples when the United Airlines mall was offering 10 miles/dollar for Staples purchases).

As a historical item, when I purchased this same 1st gen Pro, BB had a trade-in offer of $100 for any working iPad, and I did get the $100 for an iPad 2 (first upgrade of the original iPad) which was worth far less at the time. As I recall the people at the desk were a little skeptical, and I had to huff and puff a very little bit and show them a screenshot of the $100 valuation estimate I’d got online for the device. So there are precedents for them to honor generous offers. I’d say it is worth it to take it in, but I’d come armed with screen shots backing up my claim.

Best Buy matches Amazon prices.
