Just currious I want to get my hands on an apple notebook to play with a bit before I order one so I was wondering if anyone here knows if Best Buy or Circuit City carry Apples notebooks? I know that Comp USA does but there arent any of those close by for me and no Apple Stores near as well :/ Then Best Buy used to but last i heard they had discontinued the program with apple.

The Circuit City website does not list any Apple notebooks.
Best Buy's website shows 4 models ranging from an iBook to 12" Powerbook. However the website shows "Not Available" for Store Pickup.
Do you have a Micro Center store in your area? I do know they have Apple notebooks on display.

darn it looks like I will have to run all the way to CompUSA for the micro apple store in there. Good news is there is one in my grandmothers town were I will be for and after thanksgiving. I think they have apple laptops at that location as well now just to make an excuse to disapear from my relatives for awhile 
Bestbuy used to sell mac's, which were the MDD G4's and imac G4's then they stopped and recently they started selling minis but all the Bestbuys ive been to stopped selling those also. Circuit City doesnt sell macs either. The last time I saw macs at circuit city was when they were selling cubes, ibook g3's and imacs. I think its for the best though, most of the people who dont know anything about macs usually speak badly about them to people looking for a new computer. The best way to try out a mac is to go to a compusa or an apple store.
People bash CompUSA a lot, but until the Apple Store opened here last week, it was the best place in town to look at Macs, and the staff I encountered were always helpful, and for the most part knowledgeable about Macs.
I remember seeing a Mac with some caveman racing game (IIRC) on as a demo at Circuit City years ago. That was before I switched, so I remember thinking that it was interesting, not really noticing it much more than that. It was either an eMac or an iMac G3. Anyway, that's the also the last time I remember seeing Macs at Circuit City.

CompUSA was a quality Apple retailer until the AppleStores opened.
Unfortunately the few times I dropped in, the displays were very poorly maintained. One Powerbook was crashed to the point of needing a new OS install, others were filthy or broken.
It was hard not to get the impression that someone in the store was doing this to help push more profitable p/c's.
CompUSA also does not get the newest models in a timely manner, so
you really need to know your model numbers and features if you shop there.
Most of the units they have on display are NOT the new models, so beware.
They often take advantage of unknowing customers sellng them a previous
revision without letting them know that a more current model is available directly from Apple.
They also do not offer the education discounts.
In general if you can not find a local AppleStore, then I recommend only browsing the models at CompUSA, but buying directly from Apple by phone
or online.
