I called Best Buy and they said they have iPads in stock, but are holding them for sale until this Sunday. Anyone know if they're also holding the Apple cases in stock as well? I checked the store and called my Apple store and they're both sold out at the moment.

The iPad is going to be featured in the Best Buy ad this weekend which is probably why they are doing it. I'd assume if they have cases, they'd still be selling them though. Give them a call.
You can always wait to get a case. I picked up the Apple case with my iPad last Saturday and I'm glad I did. If you decide to get the iPad without a case, be careful with it. There were times mine almost slipped out of my hand with the Apple case. I can't imagine how many times I might have dropped my slippery metal iPad if it wasn't in a case. But there's nothing stopping you from babying it until you can get a case from somewhere else. Just remember to be careful and you're all set. BTW, I recommend the Apple case over those other bulkier cases. Perhaps you can order one on apple.com and just wait for shipping but pick up your iPad on Sunday. No. Better yet. Pick up the iPad on Sunday and only order the case if BB is still out of stock on the cases.
Ipads are hot sellers but you can still get one easily enough. I checked this morning on apple.com and shipping for iPads was 5-7 business days. Not that long at all, really. If you really want one with a case and BB is out of both the iPad and the case, you can order them together on apple.com and get free shipping. The only problem is that Apple uses signature required delivery so you might be faced with going to a fedex or ups office after work to pick up your ipad if no adult is at home to sign for it when they bring it.
all Best Buys getting some?
So is it common knowledge that Best Buys will be selling more iPads this Sunday? I had a guess that they would get some sometime this weekend, but didn't know for sure.
I took the fiance to best buy to have her play with one to try to convince her that we should get one, and while there, they told me that they will be selling some on Sunday morning and handling it just like launch day with tickets before opening, etc.

I visited my Best Buy today and they had four 16 gigs and two 64 gigs available, but no cases. The sales guy said their biggest sellers were the 32 gig models.
