I tried Sunrise and didn't like the layout, plus it will NOT sync my subscribed calendars in iOS. It won't sync them on the iOS app nor will it sync them on the Mac desktop app. I have no idea why.

I like Sunrise a lot for it's UI. I do however stick with Google Calendar as I can't figure out how to drop the address from my customers list into an appointment in Sunrise. So for now i'm using GC.

SolCal is quite nice

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for pointing out this app! My favorite calendar app is surprisingly samsung's calendar app which integreted calendar and it's propriety tasks feature.

Solcal is much better because it features both google calendar/tasks in one. All the other nifty features are just icing on the cake.

Yeah thats why I like it too :) Don't like the icon for it - but heck thats me just being fussy, but the app itself is great :)

I never tried SolCal, might look in to it. I use Jorte at the moment and have no complaints. Like it's full homescreen widget too.

I think I might be the only person who hates widgets. I wish Android supported app badges. They take up much less room on the screen. I only want to see a badge with the temp or the number of unread emails. And yes I know some apps include small widgets for this but it's not the same.

I'm not a widget person either. I have two very basic widgets across all my android devices.

I love widgets. It was one of the things that made me switch from iOS.

Agreed. Me neither and most consume more battery than needed for the function they are accomplishing.

I prefer WP live tiles at this point over widgets in trying both.
