I want to buy a Ipod touch....but doing research:

1. it seems all apps have to be used online?

2. I can't find an app for a family calendar/list maker offline?

3. I live in the woods....not many WIFI in the area, can Ipod Touch be used offline?

Maybe this is not the best product for me, the old paper calendar in the purse would be more useful.

What I'm looking for is, if I made a grocery list, i want to access it off line. If I'm looking at our family calendar, I want to see offline if it's Karate practice for my girl or hockey practice for my boy etc....as I mentioned, we don't have much WIFI access in our area

Any help would be great...thanks

Sylvie

Just a few apps that can be used offline, but sync to Google calendar when you have WiFi connection (good back up) are:

Pocket Informant
Saisuke
Refills
Calengoo

Or you could just use the built in calendar, and sync that to Google calendar via Exchange, or just sync that to your computers calendar (Outlook for Windows users, and iCal for Mac users).

You don't have to sync any of them, but it's a good idea to do so once a day or so to back up your info (in case your iPod ever crashes and you need to restore it to factory settings).
