I have been looking for the best case for my iPad Pro 10.5. I have tried and returned several, because of varying shortcomings. I am going to be very specific here. I want a soft, ie: leather or faux material case. Must not cover any of the screen, so swiping is not prohibited. Viewing angle has been the toughest find for me, because I lay iPad on lap, I need as many angle options, especially almost flat, like for typing. I’ve tried Moko, fintie, folio, asr. Etc. The fintie was ok, but hard material and I actually cut my finger on pencil holder in front. The multiple viewing angles were ok, but kind of a hassle to open and set. Any feed back and ideas would be appreciated.

I just use the Apple Smart Cover and it does the job for me. When I am taking the iPad Pro 10.5 out of the house I put it into either my Waterford Designs Muzetto bag or a largish regular purse. I don't worry about propping the thing up with the case; I use Gibson 3-wire stands at home which take care of that.

I know it’s probably not what you want but the best case you can get for any iPad is the otter box. I don’t have a otter box for my mini 2 but I do have a pretty nice case. I would not know anything about cases for the pro though.

I use the Zugu Prodigy X because of the multiple angles supported plus that the magnet system makes it rock solid:

I like it so much that I stopped using my ASK and use this with a Bluetooth keyboard (when needed).

I recently went with the KHOMO case "10.5 Inch Case with Pen Holder - DUAL Black Super Slim Cover".

I wanted full protection, but slim, soft inside, pencil holder, 'smart-cover-style front'.

It doesn't fit your requirement for many angle positioning.. just the same angles as you get with an Apple smart cover.

But I'm very pleased with it.

Thanks for you response. Can you show a picture from the front. I want a case that does not impede swiping at edges, and some even though they’re not covering screen, can impede smooth swiping. Also this case looks very hard. I’m looking for a softer cover

+1 for the Apple Smart Cover. My 10.5” IPP rarely leaves the house anyway. However, when I travel, I have a knock off leather sleeve from Amazon. Both do the job quite nicely for me.

I have the $15 ProCase from Amazon which I really like aside from it being Blue. Cheap and protects it well.

It is a hard cover.

Unfortunately nobody has yet designed a case that is both soft and can support multiple angles and be sturdy. If you think about it, a soft case is not going to be very sturdy when it comes to supporting the weight of the iPad.

The materials of the Zugu case feel nice and are a kind of faux leather. It does not look or feel cheap. But yes, the front cover and the fold out kickstand are not soft as they have metal and magnets on the inside and are only covered in faux leather — you cannot bend them.

The material that surrounds and holds the iPad itself is a TPU, but not the super soft gel-like TPU like on a Tech 21 case. It’s more of a stiff type of TPU that holds it’s shape. It does bend of course so that you can insert the iPad in the case, but the iPad does not feel as if it is going to fall out. But this part of the case is NOT a hard shell polycarbonate, it is a softer TPU, and I was not at all worried about it scratching the iPad when inserting it into the case or removing it.

The case does not cover the screen at all and there is a very large border around the screen, so I have no trouble swiping like I have had on some other cases. The case does provide some lip around the edge, so it will protect the screen in case of a drop on a flat surface, but it is only raised around the very edge. With iOS11 I constantly swipe up from the bottom while in landscape mode, and it is never an issue.

Some of you will be dismissed but the below is the case you need.

In October I spontaniously bought it as a second case for my daughter to use my iPad Pro on an long distance flight. Since, I haven't removed the case. This is my 3rd iPad and it is the most comfortable and versatile case for home use. It's made out of soft foamy plastic.

No time is wasted fiddling with stands or hinges. Just grab the iPad and put it where you want it to be. It's sturdy and the iPad doesn't topple over if I touch the screen or press the home button. When watching a youtube clip I can easily move it from breakfast table, to kitchen worktop to couch without having to pause to adjust anything.

When you want to take the iPad out of the house, just put in a different case.

Eric. I just received my Zugu case. Thanks for your input. The quality and craftsmanship is apparent, as reflected in the price. I believe this case is going to work for me. The edges are rubberized vs hard plastic. The angle options and magnetic stand are great. I appreciate your feedback and help. Great case for sure.

Glad to hear that it works well for you. What sold me on it originally was the reviews on Amazon. I’ve bought many items on Amazon over the years, and this was the first time I can remember seeing an item where 95%+ of the reviews were 5 stars. I figured that many people cannot be wrong.
