iPod Best cassette adapter for iPod/car stereo...?

There are several older threads in the forum about this, but they all have different conclusions... just wondering if anyone has tried more than one brand of cassette adapter and found a favorite?

I did have the Philips one recommended on iLounge, but it's broken and even though it was OK, it was always very noisy whirring away... should I replace it with another or is there something better?

This is what I did - using an FM modulator. Thats different from an FM transmitter as it pushes the signal up the aerial lead rather than transmitting it so better sound and little or no interference. There are other commercial solutions as in the Dension Ice Link. But if I was doing it again I'd get a Parrot Mki9200.

Thanks but this seems a bit more complicated/expensive than getting a $10/15 cassette adapter... does anyone else have any experience of which cassette adapter is best?

I have just ordered a Sony Cassette Adapter for my iPod. I bought a cheapo one from a mobile phone shop in town the other day, and it was completely rubbish. I will report back once I have tried the Sony one out.

Quick update: the Sony cassette adapter works very well. Its more solid than the cheapo adapter I bought before. I still hear a slight, high pitched whine when I play music through it, but I can more or less get rid of it by turning the iPod volume up and the radio volume down. I suspect the whine is more do to with my (old) car radio than anything else.
