Hello, having (i m waiting yet) a MBP 15" 2017 (model base with 512SSD ) i thing that the ipad 10.5 will be best option.

Last year a had the 12.9 model, love it....but now and being more contained, i think this option will be the ideal.

Are you with me?

Thanks for advice.

I'm going with a MBP 15 + iPad Pro 12.9 + iPad Mini 2 setup. The MBP serves mostly as a desktop for me, so that's why I went with the 12.9.

MacBook Pro 15"+ iPad Pro 10.5" = ideal combination

12.9" is too big and heavy to not be a laptop anyway, doesn't have the portability and convenience of the 10.5" and not a fraction of the capabilities of MacBook Pro 15"

Not a bad combo. I think the combo I am aiming for is iMac 27" + iPad 10.5. If I need to do something intensive, I'll just VNC to the iMac and do it there.
Good thought, but depending upon what you'll do remotely on your iMac, the 12.9 Pro might be worthy of consideration. The 10.5 Pro is smaller than the 11" MBA so that might give you a good idea of what to expect. I can use my 11" MBA without problem but I know that others feel it is a bit cramped.

That's what I do... remote into my iMac using my 12.9 Pro.

Regardless of what size you decide, I'd recommend considering Jump Desktop + Citrix X1 mouse for your iPad if you plan to regularly remote into your iMac. Having native mouse support on the iPad to access OSX makes the experience much more enjoyable and productive.

I will give that a shot! Thank you for the suggestion!

Done, i hope not regreet.

Macbook Pro (2017) 15" (kabylake 2.9ghz) at home for desktop needs + ipad pro 12.9 (on the way) for media consume and portability out of home.

With this investiment hope my head rest and my conscience does not weigh...jesus!! hehehe
