Best Commercial and Open Source Interactive Live Web Cast Streaming Software?

Okay here is my question.


1. I am going to be building an auction site. I need one major feature for the site.

A. I want to have a section where registered members can log in, and there will be a window with a live real time web cast so they can interact with the auction as it happens. Kind of like what http://techrepublic.com.com/ has when the do their web cast and you ask them questions while it is happening live.

B. With Audio and Video


What is the best Mac Live Web Casting Software out there.


Please post all the solutions you are familiar with and have heard of?

I was thinking something similar but something that I could host on my own server. Something that is easy to use and customizable through HTML, CSS and PHP but most importantly hosting it myself with total control. Web Application based.
