Hi, i need help in upgrading my imac 2011 21.5”. i really like this computer and i already did some upgrades: I installed quadro k2100m 16gb ram, ssd 128 and hdd 120 in dvd slot, my next step should be processor, because i5-2400s is very slow. I was thinking about buying i7-2600s because it’s natively supported but xeon e3-1270 seems more powerful and cheaper, but i’m not sure if it would work in my situation, will 205w psu be enough for k2100m and xeon? is it plug-n-play? do i need to instal something? i use macos monterey with opencore. also i heard that sleep is broken, how is it broken? is there any solution to fix it? hope someone will help me. thanks.

How much cheaper is the Xeon e3-1270?
Does it worth the risk and issue?
Where I live the price difference is just 5$ or less. I'd rather buy a core i7 2600s to save me from multiple issues.

I'd also go for what is natively supported and tested with your iMac, the Core i7. There are so few people who installed a Xeon into an ordinary 2011 iMac that it'll be nearly impossible for you to find out if it'll work or not.
