I'm finally biting the bullet and upgrading my iPad mini 2, but I was wondering if anyone has recommendations on where to buy for the best deal?

The best I've seen is on Abt, with the 10.5" cellular 256GB, the model I'm wanting, for $833 plus a $25 off promo code and 2% back from a cash back site. The only negative is this sale is only for the Gold model, which isn't exactly my preference... I'd much prefer Space Gray.

Only place I've seen with the 10.5" "on sale" is Costco. I got a wifi 256GB 10.5" Space Grey for $720, which is only $30 off, plus tax, though I do get 4% back for being an executive member+citi card holder. 90 day return policy too.

Besides that, there's places like B&H Photo that have them for normal price, but not tax in most states in the US. Or there's trade in deals at Best Buy, but that's not really a discount. It's minimum $150 gift card for qualifying iPad trade ins. Idk if the mini 2 is included.

TBH though, its way too early to expect a "deal" on the 10.5", it literally just came out. I'm guessing there might be some sales this fall.

EDIT - It looks like the mini 2 qualifies for the Best Buy trade in deal, as long as its working condition. If you plan on getting rid of that, that would take $150 off the price. I don't know how much those sell for, so I'm unsure if this is a good deal or not.

Is there a link to that promotion at Best Buy? Curious which iPads they take.

Adorama had a deal for the 256 wifi model at $729. I ordered one as soon as they allowed pre-orders and it arrived this past Monday. No tax as I'm outside of NY so it saved me nearly $100 over ordering directly from Apple.

B&H will match Apple's education pricing. That puts base model 10.5" wifi at $629 out the door. No tax and free expedited shipping.

I would wait for Cyber Monday. Back in 2015, just after the iPad Pro 12.9" was launched, Target had 15% off which was an amazing deal at the time - https://www.i4u.com/2015/11/99945/t...s-15-apple-watch-ipad-pro-ipad-air-2-and-ipod

WOW maybe it is worth waiting til Cyber Monday than..besides, when IOS 11 comes out is when the iPad Pro 10.5 will really shine..I have an iPad Pro 9.7 inch that Im trying to sell so far no takers maybe its best to just wait a few more months til the price goes down

After some research I went ahead and ordered from Abt. I paid $850 for the 256 Cellular in Space Gray and I'll be getting $17 in cashback. I don't think there's a better deal right now.

I had BB price match Costco, then got $150 for my mini 2 and used their credit card for an additional 10% back
