Got XP on my MBP which has an 8600M GT, i know the supplied Bootcamp Drivers for the GPU are terrible, so i want on laptopvideo2go, and downloaded the latest driver, but im not sure it installed right, so how do i check?

Also is the latest Driver the best version? I Know sometimes a previous version gives better performance, which is why im asking :p

Would be a better idea to use the official Nvidia drivers. :)
http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_drivers.html

It's a lot more stable than the drivers found at LV2G. I have the MBP with the 8600M too, and LV2G drivers give me a lot of problems. Problems with sleep, hibernate, random crashes due to instability, as well as screen brightness problems.

Nvidia's drivers are perfectly stable for me. :)

Cathyy is correct about the laptopvideo2go drivers, they mess with power management and the standby behavior (such as waking the laptop up for no apparent reason). I use the nVidia drivers and they work like a charm.

Now to answer your question, to check to make sure you installed the correct drivers, nVidia has a tool that will tell you.

Go here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=en-us

Follow the steps and such, very simple and fast. It will tell you the number in this form: xxx.xx ie 179.64, etc

laptopvideo2go drivers are crap.

The drivers from the Nvidia site (cathyy's link), even in their beta state, are significantly faster and more stable. There is no reason to recommend anyone to use laptopvideo2go's drivers anymore (thank goodness).
