Thinking of jumping the Apple i(Phone 5) ship. What's the hottest, best android phone (AT&T) out there?
Thanks

Galaxy s3, optimus g (LG finally made a flagship worth buying and the manufacturer skin is pretty lightweight), galaxy note II and the one x + are all good choices. Nexus 4 is good if you don;t care about lte. Right now the software is kind of buggy but that should be worked out in the next update. Android 4.2 imo isn't really ready compared to 4.1.2 which is what I think google should have shipped these with.

Off contract best Android for the money is Nexus 4. Pure android guarantees the latest updates without hacking custom roms. Cannot beat $299/349 no contract pricing for quad core S4 processor with 2GB RAM.

2 downsides (no LTE, HSPA plus is pretty darn fast for most people). I live in Orlando. LTE is blazing fast but HSPA I can hit 10-12mpbs routinely.

Camera on Nexus 4 is so so.

There is no perfect android phone but I prefer pure android.

Best advise right here and in that order. Samsung is really best of the best at this point. And even with the phone dead stock, Touchwiz with all the add ons from Samsung make it better than stock Android IMO.

Yeah the only thing the optimus g and nexus 4 have going for them is the much faster s4 pro (GPU and quad core) but the s4 in the s3 is fine and still flies.

Well it will clearly depends on a few things. What is most important to you? Battery life? Performance? Specific screen size range you are looking for? Fast updates? Pure Android experience? Camera quality? Storage?

Galaxy S3 (GT I9305) is also a good option as it has Quad core processor like the International GS3 (GT I9300) and has 2 GB RAM as the US version and supports LTE. Though I am not sure if it is officially available in US.

Is it just me, or is the GS3 like the most overexposed, played out phone there is? Radio Shack tried to dump one on me when I went in for an iPhone 5.

I would say the Nexus 4 because it is pure Android Jelly Bean. HSPA+ is fast enough for anyone, and its only $299 unlocked, off contract! I'll buy one just on general principal because of that last part just to have a back up phone for my Lumia 920 on AT&T.

Right now, the S3 and the Note are pretty high on everyone's list. I would also consider that new HTC Droid DNA that is out. I wonder how great that is.

Exactly...its more played out than the iPhone. I got rid of the iPhone, BTW. It bent after three weeks.

Well the S3 is a pretty solid and good phone, that is likely why.

If you want a smaller phone...

Galaxy S3

Touchwiz used to suck but it brings so much more to Android. Now if they can only make Touchwiz look pretty and get farther away from its iOS knockoff roots.
