So i've recently converted from windows to mac and while im starting to think mac isn't all it's cracked up to be, i still like it. But there's some programs i can't leave behind, namely fruity loops. So i'm wondering which program is the best for dual booting or whatever you call it? Since bootcamp is made by apple, i want to stay away from it if at all possible, i don't feel like getting raped for drivers. What are the best that you guys are aware of?
Raped for drivers??? You mean you think Apple charges for them?
Anyway, if you want to dual boot Windows, then there is only Boot camp.
However if you want to run Windows inside Mac OS X you have the following choices:
VMware - Probably the best option, although Parallels is better in some areas
Parallels
OpenBox - Free, but you can't use your bootcamp install and it lacks 3D graphics support (although you can't really run recent games on any of them).
It should be noted that running Windows inside Mac OS is slower than dual booting.
