I got one of these bad boys and a few 2.5" 512GB SSD's. I need a dock to get footage from Hyperdeck to My MacPro RAID. What do you guys recommend? The drives are going to be going back and forth from the field to the studio so no permanent enclosure. I assume a dock with USB and eSATA would do.

I am considering one of these unless you say otherwise:

or

I don't want to goof around with junk so please let me know what is the best one out there for this workflow. Thanks in advance!

On another note, I do not plan to edit from these 2.5" SSD drives via the dock so speed is not an issue. Reliability is. Typically, at the end of the day, we'll let the transfer run overnight to the RAID and edit from that. Failed transfer will be brutal for us.

I have both the Startech and the Thermaltake docks; both work fine for SSDs.

I like the newer Thermaltake one because it has USB 3.0 (and I have a USB 3.0 card); it fast enough for many 6G SSDs whereas the eSATA cards that are on Mac Pro seem to be finicky on Lion.

What USB 3.0 card do you have?
