best dvd rip for pc

Whats the best way to rip dvds for a pc?All i want is to get it from the dvd to my apple tv. I searched and couldnt find anything. Thanks!

you can rip it to the hard drive with dvd shrink and then use handbrake to encode it for your itunes/ipod

I use DVD Decrypter (free) and AnyDVD HD (not free but great). Then I use Handbrake to Encode for AppleTV and iPhone (I encode so that 1 m4v file can be use for both - do a search here for more information).

Step 1 takes about 15-20 min.

Step 2 takes about 2 hours or more.

encoding will always take a long time so there really is no way around that. and the above mentioned rippers are great i personally use DVD Decrypter. its fast and free. the two unbeatable "F's"

+1 for DVD Decryper (since I mainly rip my DVDs on my PCs.)

However, AnyDVD is a VERY nice app too.
