I am looking to buy an 2T external hard drive for my iMac that currently runs Lion. I have noticed that some hard drives list don't list Lion as one of the programs it is compatible with. Are there only certain external hard drives that can work with Lion?

Every external hard drive compatible with USB 2.0,Firewire 800 & 400,Thunderbold (2011 models and after) or Ethernet should be working.
