Want something super easy to use. Record video with iPhone 12 and A7 Rii mostly, so something that works with all these and can also be organised on Mac too would be great. Lots of space, fast and preferably no annoying software or formatting etc.

Oh and multiple users. Two of us here would love to store all the weekly video footage from iPhone 12's to an external drive to manage space.

And.. SSD. Does it have to be SSD or are regular drives any faster than they used to be making a budget option actually worth considering?

Another vouch for the T7 touch.

I have two of them (500gb and 1tb) and I think they’re brilliant.

You can buy an NVME SSD and an enclosure to build an SSD that’s as fast as apple MacBook internal SSD. Just pick PCIE 4.0 version and avoid SATA at all costs.

What iPad are you using with LumaFusion to edit the video footage?

Look at the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD V2 (1050MB R/1000MB W) and the Extreme PRO (2000MB R/2000MB W). Both are USB-C in ruggedized chassis. The PRO is a bit thicker and more expensive, but much faster.

Thanks checking it at the moment, looks ideal!
