Best FREE filesharing (eg, Limewire alternative)

I have zero success with torrents, what's the best free filesharing software out there?

I have Limewire, but would like to try another....

I downloaded it and it said I'd have to pay 17 quid or something to use it....

So I deleted it (Doh!!)

How do I use it without paying if I download it again...?

Ahhh. I see. Just like Limewire, it asks you every time you fire it up....
