Hey folks,

Have a few flights tomorrow and I'm looking for some nice games to load on my new 12". Found a couple off of version tracker but there are quite a few more and I'd like to solicit reccomendations before I go with random downloads!

Thanks!

Jordan

I was wondering this today too. I used to play a really awesome horizontal scrolling space game which had great sound-effects - can't remember what it was called! - and would love a replacement.

Anybody know of any Freeware/Shareware scrolling space games?

"the best games are always the simplest ones"

:D. It is true. The best games, excluding StarCraft, are always
the simple ones. Like, I would have 10x more fun playing original
Mario on an original Nintendo, then I would playing the newest
game on the newest game console. Well, I don't have Mac OS X,
or a mac for that matter, so I can't answer the question. But I
just wanted to express my opinion on games. ;)

Frozen Bubble is a very well put together game
www.frozen-bubble.org
(linux program, but they've ported it to osx)

Airburst Carbon is very addicting (search version tracker for "airburst")

I found a good joust clone called Glypha 3 if I'm correct; it's hard but still fun.

Yeah, great game, i used to play it on a linux box but i still cant get it to work on OS X.

Its a clone of Bubble Bobble (pretty much)

Klondike (ancient solitaire, but updated for X). Blockforge (tetris), DopeWars...

If you are into RPG's, Spiderweb Software's games are fun to play... especially the Geneforge game. They are demo games, but the game play is long enough that you would be able to be satisified for quite a number of hours.

Astrosquid is fun, and $10.
