I was wondering whats the best IM app for the iphone/itouch/ipad?

Whats your opinion and why you think that is more superior than the others?

I'm using eBuddy right now (Lite), but have been seriously taking a peek at BeeJive, it seems to have a relatively devoted following, and from what I've read on their own forums, the development staff actually listens to people.

Why is ebuddy better please state the reason you think that?

The only ones I was aware of at the time were Beejive, IM+, eBuddy and Palringo. I'm not paying $14 for a chat client so I didn't look at Beejive or IM+. Palringo would often disconnect me when it shouldn't, whereas eBuddy was very reliable and provided push notifications.

Meebo is available now and the first release crashed on me a lot. I've stuck with eBuddy. The great thing is that since it's free, you can try it out and see what you think.

I have been using BeeJive since the week it was originally released in the App Store. I love it. It is by far the best IM client for the iPhone. The only thing that could possibly rival it would be iChat for iPhone (if Apple ever releases it). It's worth the $9.99.

I bought Beejive over a year ago for my iPod touch, then used it when I got my iPhone last August. It's certainly been worth the cost, especially with all the updates that they release. It's nice to know that the developers continue to improve the app.

I like the new Windows Live Messenger app. It's pretty basic, but all I need is IM and it delivers pretty well. The deal-maker for me is the Hotmail integration, I can't use Main with my Hotmail account because I literally have 6900+ emails and the iPhone tries to load ALL of them, and I don't have data so it's not super useful. Plus, WLM for iPhone is free so that's a huge bonus.

Chalk up some more love for Meebo. Just as good as Beejive and it is free.
