Best iphone firmware for iphone 2g

I have unlocked my iphone 2g with OS 3.0 using redsnow, but i having lot of troubles using cydia to install 3rd party applications..

So i would like to downgrade to most stabe firmware version and unlock again.

What do u suggest for best firmware for iphone 2g ?

The best is 3.0. It's the fastest and the most stable.

If redsn0w doesn't play nicely, you can always try purplera1n.

Problems with Cydia can arise if you use the RedSn0w option to install Icy as well. If you did that, restore your phone to 3.0 with iTunes, then use RedSn0w again but don't put Icy on.

Open Cydia and do all the upgrades.

If you want Icy, install it from Cydia after doing that.

You should then find that you do not have problems with installing.
