I'm looking to buy a laser printer for under $400 for general printing. One thing I require is that it needs to be able to handle reasonably large pdf and graphics files. I've had bad experiences at work with a PC :( and a HP Laserjet 4200dn which chokes on pdfs larger than a couple of meg which contains large pictures.

I'd really appreciate people's opinions regarding which would be the best to buy. I currently have a Quicksilver Powermac 867MHz running OS X 10.3.9 but am looking to move up to a 20" iMac in the next few months.

Get the Hp 1320. Flawless with Tiger. Retailed for $399, but with rebates, Office Depot promos, etc. I got mine for $130! Shop around.

Also has a nifty duplex feature.

Hmm I was going to ask a similar question so I thought I might as well put it here instead of start a new thread. Looking to replace my laser printer. But want a colour laser printer that works well with Mac, likely hooked up to the Imac then shared on the network to Mac and Windows.

In the UK. Don't want to go above £300, will go higher if it works out cheaper in the long run, toner pricing etc. Want to be able to get nice printed pictures out of it and printing large reports and essays.

What are Dell printers like with Macs I have read a favorable review on one of those?
