Thought it would be interesting to start a thread about the best times people have had in life which involved their Mac in some way or another.

There is so many threads all about problems and defects and fair enough thats what the forum is good for discussion about, but wouldnt it be nice to have a thread going with the good stuff thats happening with the Mac involved?

So anyone with random stories about how the Mac had a role in something great thats happened to you?

(This was a difficult thread to find a home for so I posted it in here because I am just guessing that its a more likely scenario with a notebook being possibly with you more, but definatly everyones input would be amazing!!)

For me I love using my Mac at airports on the plane. For some reason I love that because I love the feeling of traveling with a great computer. But for the story, I was on a Delta flight to Orlando about 3 months ago I convinced the man I was sitting with to buy a Mac. He liked my iBook G4 and I told him about it and told him about the MacBook. Once he got off the plane he was on the phone with Apple ordering one (I think the black 2.16GHz):apple:. I felt happy about that.

sorry, but this thread is kinda lame/cheesy. also, why would a poster make a thread and not even contribute to their original question by giving their own answer/experience?

My digital life, being able to share pictures and videos to friends and family near and far. I just recently relocated to San Diego 500+ miles away from my close friends and family, and who knows how long I'll be here.

It boil's down to convenience, being able to upload all my photos through iphoto then .mac and then being able to upload quick 5 minute videos to youtube in under 20 minutes to just get my "digital life" out there for my friends and family to see.

Which is a convenience I'll pay for, gone are the days of uploading each and individual photo, browse, open, select... etc. I think it's wonderful, iLife doesn't make it seem so much like a chore anymore.

Meh, it kinda seems like a advertisement or whatever haha. But I really like the new iLife suite.

Fair comment, but to be perfectly honest was waiting for someone to pull that one out of the bag. Bet it makes you feel great to be the one that had to do it. Feel sorry for you having nothing good to share with us.

I have tons of great experiences, Photobooth with friends, telling others about my Mac etc etc, just a shame that maybe you dont have any friends or social skills.

Away you go to the "I hate myself and just want to down other people who have something positive to say" thread!!!

OH! i forgot about photobooth, itll entertain someone new to macs for a good 30 minutes, and its hilarious watching them

Where are the old Mac stories?

When I got my 7500/100 (1995-ish) was just such a great time for me. I was about 14 at the time and going from an LC I @ 16mHz to a 100mHz Mac with 16mb of RAM was just a dream come true. I was able to keep all of my files and games on the hard drive (500 mb) and the speed of the thing was just incredible!

This is also when I received my 28.8 Teleport Platinum modem and was able to get my hands on the Internet for the first time. This was a life changing moment for me. And all with the power of Mac OS 7.5.2.

Apple has been a part of my life since I was about 10 years old (1990) and I have been die hard the whole time. I gave up the PC vs. Mac argument long long ago as I realize its just about as difficult as arguing religion, but I am still so happy with all that Apple produces.

best experience with a mac has to be either when I was a child and playing Mad Libs with the cool voice of the IIGs and laughing hysterically every time; or a few years ago when I got a new CPU fan for my pc at the local computer store, and a few moths later it broke my processor and motherboard. I went to visit some friends and they showed off their new powerbooks and I was hooked, I bought a mac and never looked back... was a great time with friends and apple computers. why, oh why were we infested with the microsoft bug all these years?

To choose one it would have to be the fun I have had with my little cousins Shaun & Steven with Photobooth and showing them my Mac. They have only just started school and were facinated by it.

Was really really pleasing to see them so intrigued by the whole thing at their young age!!! Am hoping to have many more quality experiences with it!!!

Theres one good example so how about you post one now box33??
