Lookng for 2m USB C 3.1 Gen2 charging and data cable for Macbook Pro 14" 2021. I looked at Apple cable but the 2m is supports charging, but data-transfer speed is limited to 480Mbps (USB 2.0). Was interested in Anker Powerline II USB-C to USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 Cable (3ft) for durability but it is also just 1m. I have the magsafe cable but it keeps falling off so easily when I am using it in car or bed.

Anyone have any other options?

Thanks

Well, you can use a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable, or USB 4 cable, as they are downwardly compatible, afaik

Maybe not what you want to do? You said ”best,“ not cheapest. Note that long cables like this tend to be thicker, which can be a negative.

Get a 10GBps USBc "charging" cable.

However... if the cable is being used for BOTH charging AND USB transfers at the same time, the USB speeds might be lower because some of the "available bandwidth" of the cable is being used for charging.

I'm wondering if the "thunderbolt3" cable wilberforce mentions above will work with USB devices, as distinguished from actual "thunderbolt" devices...?

I have purchased Cable Matters before but that was a shorter charging cable for USB 3. Anyone use this USB 4 cable? It seems to have the right specs and is expensive.
