I have a 24" alum iMac, and my inkjet just isn't cutting it anymore(6 yrs old). Looking for a snazzy printer to go with the iMac. What do you guys suggest. Looking for something black or aluminum finish to match the :apple:. I'd love to hear/see what you guys are using, thanks! :)

Very very cool, but a little steep for my wallet. I'm kinda more in the market for an inkjet.

I without reservation recommend the Canon MP600. It's extremely reliable, quick, quiet and comes in shiny black and matte silver. The print quality with both documents and photos is excellent and the ink cartridges are cheaper than both HP and Epson. It's also has a scanner and can print photos straight from a memory card if necessary.

Looks great sat under my Alu iMac :)

Man that one is niiiiiiice, but for $300 it oughta be!

I would have to recommend anything HP. The one I currently have is an all-in-one and has been alive and kickin' since February 2003. I did have a problem with it when I first bought it. The buttons on it didn't want to function. Neither the HP support people or RadioShack knew what to do, until I finally found a tutorial online how to fix the problem. I think it matches pretty well, as it's blue, white, and grey, the same colors as my mouse, iMac, and aluminum keyboard.

Thanks, i'm going to read more about this one! Any more suggestions guys? :apple:

another Canon

I got the Canon PIXMA MP510, which has a similar silver and black look to the Canon mentioned above (except the viewing window is on the side), but is a little cheaper. It was the "Perfect Companion" rebate printer I bought w/ my aluminum iMac, and I think they look nice together, and I'm very pleased with the printer performance so far. It also reads directly from memory cards.

I was looking for a link at the Apple store, and I see that my model has been replaced with the MP520--for this update, it looks as if Canon was trying to match the aluminum iMac, right down to the black border:

I have a Canon PIXMA iP4200... looks great with both the black and grey finish.
