OS X Best Mac controller

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before (my search yielded no results); what is the best/most compatible controller for mac?

I have been looking on the Feral website (I think I'll be mostly playing their games) and it's tricky to find one controller that is compatible with all their games.

Is there one controller that 'just works' with all games?

PS3 controllers work with all Feral games I believe (well, I use my PS3 controller flawlessly with Dirt 2 on OSX through the Mac App Store) and my PS3 controller works great with X-Plane 10.

There is an app on the App Store that will configure a PS3 controller for any game, but I have found that not to be necessary and I don't plan on getting it.

It's not that tricky, we have a list of 30+ that will work with pretty much all of them. However if you want to choose just one I would choose the Official XBOX 360 wired pad. This will work with all Feral pad games and is also the best supported by other games companies as well.

The Playstation 3 pad is also another good choice due to it's wire range of support.

Xbox 360 controller gets my vote, wired or unwired.

Another vote for the 360 controller. Just make sure you get an official Microsoft unit, as 3rd party ones can prove dicey in terms of support with 3rd party drivers.

As long as you have a real pad (fake ones sometimes don't work) then yes. All Feral games support the PS3 but other games sometimes only support the wired 360 pad.

Xbox wired pad or a ds4. Ds3 was an awful pad, those thumb sticks, boke.
