Anyone here use Cocktail, Tiger Cache Cleaner, Yasu or MacJanitor? I never leave my MacBook awake overnight and was reading about these apps. Any opinions? Thanks.

it is ONYX... not oynx, not onxy, not noxy.. it's onyX !

sorry... the reason i rant is that i've seen this with the aforementioned spelling all over the place, and can't use them to find the actual program.. and i finally found it, just to share:p

Personally, I have always liked Cocktail better. I use it on my Mac at least once every couple of weeks as I let my computer sleep at night. Many people like Onyx better as it is freeware and Cocktail is shareware but after I bought Cocktail a long time ago and I find the UI better and it is also easier to uninstall as Onyx uses an installer.

Here is a link to MacWorld's review of these products. You will note that Cocktail's main advantage over Onyx (besides cleaner UI IMO and not using an installer) is that it allows scheduling. If you need/want this and don't mind spending $15 then is a nice app.

Hard Drive maintenance isn't really neaded but Disk Warrior is also a good program for what it does.

I use onyX and MacJanitor and they both work wonderfully.
I use them every couple weeks and my computer stays in
tip top shape because of somebody's slick programming.
