I love the 4.5K screen on my iMac 24", and would buy a monitor using the same panel in a second if one were available. Since that is unfortunately not the case, what have people found the best match to be for a second monitor? Ideally, I'd like something that's near-identical in dpi, resolution, color accuracy, size, etc. - but I'm aware that not all of those can be met in a single device, so I'm open to thoughts and suggestions.

Most likely the Studio display. However, I’ve successfully ram an iMac 24” as a second display with a keyboard/mouse using universal control. Obviously it’s a little different than using an extended display setup but it’s pretty darn close with UC.

I like the idea of using universal control as an alternative.

Are there any apps that you use to further enhance the integration of the two iMacs? For instance, I use Moom to rapidly tile windows in different ways according to what I'm doing - but I can see where a similar app that could bridge machines would be even more powerful.
