Best Messaging app for low battery usage

Everyone,

What have people found to be the best app for general messaging between friends as far as using little battery.

I have tried
-imessage
-whatsapp ( i think this sucks battery)
-hangouts ( not the best either )
-Viber
-Wechat
-Skout
-Facebook messenger (fairly bad)
-Telegram

At the moment I am thinking of sticking with :
-imessage
-Telegram

Thoughts?

iMessage and Telegram. iMessage on its own if you're worried about battery life.

I use telegram and iMessage exclusively and I find that they're both very easy on my battery. I've not found anything comparable for functionality or efficiency, so I'd stick with those two!
