Best Mirrorless for under 300 used... I am looking for a mirrorless that I can mount my Nikon lenses on with an adapter as well as their own lenses.
I am looking at the Samsung NX 300 with its great low light sensor, APS-C sensor, good image quality, small size, and decent used price.

Any suggestions? Also how does the NX300 compare to the Panasonic GH3 and Nikon D7000?

Here are some samples of photos I have taken with a Nikon D40 and Panasonic TG3.

As you can see I like taking photographs on hikes and need a light camera with good image quality.

What glass you looking to use? Is a mirror less body going to save much weight by the time you factor in the adaptor and extra battery?

Fujifilm XE1. I had one that I used almost exclusively with adapted lenses and it was an absolute peach of a camera. I'd buy one again.

Image quality is more than good enough. Here are a few shots I took with mine.

I ordered an X-M1 at a good price. I plan to use a Nikkor 35mm, 50mm F1.8 and a Fujinon XF27 mm F2.8.

Great to hear.

What would be better for hiking in the mountains of Banff, Canmore and Jasper.

The Fuji Xc 27m f2.8 or the Fuji 16-50 mm.

I am looking for landscape photos of the mountains.

Also what lens will hold its value better long term?

You'll probably be better off with the 16-50 as you'll want as wide as you can go to get some epic looking mountain shots. Having said that, I don't know what the quality is like if that particular lens as I've never used it.

True. Just sold my Nikkor 35mm so I think I will get the 27mm and 16-50mm.

With m43 crop factor you're pretty much tied to aps-c for adapting Nikons. I'd also vote for the xe1. It was my and my wife's adapted lens body for years. Her Minolta, me Nikon. A big however is the Fuii lenses are really good. You get native capability, excellent IQ and a lovely draw that's consistent amongst their lenses. Something that cannot be said for Nikon lenses on a Fuji body. The Minolta's were more consistent, both between their lenses and draw versus Fuji.

We have both the 27 and 16-50. Not go to lenses but very competent. I'd opt for the 16-50 over the 18-55. A touch smaller, a good bit lighter (balances well), the wider end is nice to have. We started with the 18-55, replaced it with the lighter zoom.

My 35 years of shooting Nikon up to a D800 got sold within a few months of purchasing the xe1. Held onto some old Nikkors but they eventually got sold once Fuji filled their lens line.

To complicate matters, you might want to consider an xe2. A few hundred more but a much better evf for focusing adapted. That's my current body along with an xp1.
