Best ML Compatible Backup Software for External Drive(s)? (Third-party)

This may have been covered a lot, and if so, I apologize. However, I think this is a good forum in which to address my concerns:

Now that Mountain Lion has been out for a little while, I wanted to ask everyone's opinion on what the best third party software to do incremental backups of external drives to other external drives (both directly connected and over a network) is. I have been using Time Machine since it was available, but obviously that's only useful for the drives inside the machine, and until ML, would only backup to one drive at a time.

Essentially my main use for this would be working on an external drive (or RAID array of drives) for FCP work (data, edits, renderings, etc.). I want to then be able to run a reliable, still and future supported, fully ML compatible third-party program that will allow incremental updates to other (encrypted) drives - either during the editing process or after I finish the work for the day - only backing up the changes since the last backup.

At the moment I'm testing the Memeo software that came with one of my Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1.5TB drives, but its release notes say the last version was from 2008 ...

I would love to hear success stories, failures, and current choices for solutions to try and to avoid. Thanks for your help.

I use it for cloning both internal and external drives, and keeping those clones current with incremental backups.

Sounds good. DLing now, as Memeo is already failing ...

Carbon Copy Cloner works perfectly for me.

SuperDuper! works perfectly for me.
It's currently the cheaper of the two Apps.

Apple provides everyone with a neat little utility called Backup. You can use it to schedule backups from disk to disk. Super easy to use. Don't know why most people don't use it; it completes checksums and makes it easy to restore. You can have lots of different plans. Hasn't been updated since it still offers backups to your iDisk (cough) but hey, it's free.

I had actually been using Backup, and have for years and love it, but I talked directly to several Apple representatives and they said it is no longer supported and won't be updated etc. and since it had failed a couple times I need a new solution that will still be updated. So far CCC seems to be working great; I haven't tried over a network or to a remote location yet ...
