I just spoke to the retention dept and they have informed me that I can upgrade to 400 mbps for free - only downfall is that I’d have to have a tech come out and install the modem and they were unable to one shipped to me due to an error in shipping codes that they put in.

I’m thinking about just buying my own modem and using my Eero with it. Which ones are the best?

I was eyeballing the Netgear C6300.

Also, I have the regular Eero 3 pack and it’s showing it can handle speeds up to 350 mbps - but on their support site it shows that it can handle up to 500 mbps so I’m a little confused.

There's no future proof, only buying the new thing until another new thing comes out. My opinion out on that.
On Spectrum Gig currently at home, I use the Spectrum branded modem but my own network after the modem.

Pre-Gig on 400Mbps I have the NetGear c6300. Works great. As well as the SB8200.

Spectrum doesn't charge extra or give a discount for owning your own modem. My experience at home and 4 business locations, their newer company branded modems have been pretty rock solid.

Nowhere near the amount of power resetting as 3-5 years ago.

Well my Ubiquiti can do upto 10 Mbps & wifi 6, but slightly expensive.
