Hi guys,

I've been struggling to find a 27 inch external monitor that deals with the "blurry text" issues with my Macbook Pro Retina and I figured I'd ask here to see if anyone has any recommendations.

My budget is ~$500.

Thanks!

I'm very happy with my Dell 2715 - 4K monitor. Most of the time I run it at 1440p, and it's nice to have the extra resolution on demand.

I got one of these recently from BandH while I was in NY.

I absolutely love it. Mostly use it for Excel 2011 and I have to say the text is amazing. Plays 4K you tube very well, and Xplane 9 is smooth. Using it with a 2015 Macbook Pro with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

Most people are buying the Dells. BenQ also makes some cheaper options. I have always loved the NEC quality though so I upsold myself.

I have a 24" Dell 4K that works wonderfully with either Windows or MacOS. I prefer the 24" just because I didn't want it to take up that much space on my desk. After this, a 24" or higher monitor at FHD feels positively blurry to me.

The Dell cost me just under USD $400 last year. I bought it right from their website, and they will send you numerous obsequious email followups hoping to get more of your business.

Just curious of the exact model you have of the Dell monitor you have and what mac you are using?

It works with a 2013 MBPro 15" i7 as well as a 2016 13" MBPro with Retina, i5.

I don't have the exact model offhand, but it's basically pro 4K monitor at 24". There probably is another generation past that at this point.
