If you are looking for a traditional leather band, I have one of these on order.

I have a dark red version from this seller and it is my favorite strap at the moment.

You can, of course, get one of the Apple/Hermès ones if you are ok with the price premium.

If you are looking for the leather loop/link type of band, I would probably stick with Apple.

If I were in the market for a leather band this is where I'd start.

I’ve looked at their site and their products look great.

What’s stopped me buying is that they have a lot of options for the hardware, but no black, or dark grey - unless I’ve been missing something.

Oh, the pricing is very good too!

Yes they have dark hardware options.

I must be missing it - unless Brushed Steel is black or grey.

I hope they do have black or dark grey - I want to order a dark blue strap.

Interestingly they sell black adaptors as a separate item - I sent them a message to learn more

Edit - they got back to me real quick and I see the options now (duh!!)

Ordered one of their seatbelt material bands to try.

FFF makes simple and unique bands. They are some of the most comfortable bands I have worn. Customer service is excellent. Had one stretch on me after several months of wear and they sent a replacement at no charge.

I find the quality of bands from Clockwork Synergy are fantastic.
I have a few from Leather to Canvas and all sorts in between.

So after checking out the the Clockwork Synergy, site, I’m now the proud owner of two of their seat belt material straps.

Very pleased with them and great customer service too.

I second this guy right here ^

OP - I will tell you this, Amazon is not the best place for generic leather bands. I have seen plenty of them and its not pretty.

I will add another upvote for Clockwork Synergy. Their bands and hardware are good quality for a very reasonable price. I have a brown leather band from them that is five years old (bought for the original Apple Watch) that I still wear. I also have one of their Cordura bands that is canvas on the outside and leather-lined on the inside. It's one of my favorite bands.

I think it's pretty easy to find good leather bands, and Etsy might offer some of the more unique and high quality handmade bands. Where I have had bad luck has been with cheap third-party knockoffs of Apple's Leather Loop. I have owned three of them. I only paid about $25 each for them, but they aren't real leather and eventually the faux leather starts to peel and separate from the band's core material. I've never been able to buy the genuine Apple Watch Leather Loop because I have a 40mm watch. Now that Apple offers the Leather Link for the 40mm case size I am going to give one of those a try. I'm probably going to get another Clockwork Synergy Cordura band as well.

Apple watch noob here. I have a series 5, and I noticed on their Cordura listing that it says compatible with series 1-3. Will it fit my series 5? Haven't found a definitive answer.

I wear them on a Series 4. Anything that fits an early series 38mm should fit a newer 40mm, and same for older 42mm to newer 44mm.

I actually picked up a leather band from Amazon for my son. I got him an AW for Christmas and wanted to get him some extra bands, but without breaking the bank. The one I got him looks pretty good. I have no clue how it’ll hold up, but I definitely like it, and you couldn’t beat the $12 price tag.

I have the Apple leather in brown and black both, and I have yet to find any whose leather feels like theirs.

I can recommend Fullmosa. I haven't used mine for more than 3 months, but it has given no sign of improper wear and tear. It is still gorgeous.
I have a fullmosa “litchi” in brown and do not recommend it. It’s probably a year old but worn infrequently, and it’s already discoloring in places.

granted it was inexpensive, so I probably got a decent value for the price, but to me the point of wearing a leather band is to dress the watch up, so I’d rather pay more for higher quality in the future.

I’m in the same boat. Winter is the best time for leather. Might get a nomad slim leather. The lugs look better then the modern strap.
